Electrical Designer (Water)

Description

Burns & McDonnell’s Water Global Practice in Mumbai, India is seeking to hire an Electrical Designer to design and drafting electrical systems associated with Municipal and Industrial water, wastewater treatment, and drinking water facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and drafting of construction drawings for electrical and control systems in industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• 3D modelling of electrical & instrumentation equipment in Revit.
• 2D design and detailing for medium and low voltage one-line drawings, layout of electrical equipment, cable tray, conduit, duct bank, area classification, panel design, motor schematics, wiring diagram, grounding system, lighting systems, and instrumentation layout using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Collaboration with engineers and designers across multidisciplinary teams to ensure design coordination and compliance with project and industry standards.
• Coordination with multiple BMcD offices for project execution and design consistency.
• Support development of innovative design solutions and contribute to continuous improvement in design practices.
• Ensure all deliverables meet defined quality standards, adhere to project schedules, and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI certification in Electrical engineering.
• 2 to 5 years of experience as Electrical designer for industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Plant 3D for Electrical design and coordination.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
