Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Designing and modifying electrical schematics, layouts, wiring diagrams, and other technical drawings using AutoCAD (2D).
• Working closely with engineers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure designs are accurate and meet specifications i.e. technical drawings, including schematics, layouts, wiring diagrams & BOM etc.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation of electrical designs, including revisions and updates.
• Ensuring that designs comply with relevant global industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Reviewing and interpreting engineering specifications and other project documents to ensure design accuracy.
• Communicating Collaborating with the global team to resolve any design-related issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Coordinating with other global team members, including engineers, to ensure timely & smooth project workflow.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD:

  Strong skills in using AutoCAD software for 2D design, drafting, and documentation.

• Technical Drawing:

  Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, including schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams.

• Knowledge of Electrical Systems:

  Understanding of electrical systems, components, and their functionality.

• Attention to Detail:

  Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in creating and modifying drawings.

• Communication Skills:

  Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with global teams.

• Problem-Solving Skills:

  Ability to identify and resolve design issues effectively.

• Knowledge of Industry Standards:

  Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. i.e. IEC standards & other global standards.

Education

• Typically requires a diploma or degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Having 2-3 years of experience in engineering industry.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Have a good communication skill for communicating with global team.
