Electrical And Instrumentation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical & instrumentation operations, projects, and maintenance for the plant.
• Plan, execute, and monitor erection, testing, and commissioning of HT/LT equipment, transformers, motors, switchgears, instrumentation systems, and sub-stations.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs for E&I equipment.
• Ensure smooth functioning of plant instrumentation including PLC/DCS systems, field instruments, analyzers, weigh feeders, and automation systems.
• Review & approve technical specifications, SLDs, cable schedules, protection schemes, and instrumentation logic diagrams.
• Prepare and manage CAPEX/OPEX budgets, cost optimization, and inventory management of electrical & instrumentation spares.
• Drive energy efficiency and process optimization through instrumentation and automation upgrades.
• Vendor evaluation, negotiations, procurement, and technical approvals for E&I systems.
• Ensure statutory compliance with Electricity Boards, Electrical Inspectorate, and other regulatory authorities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop electrical & instrumentation teams including contract manpower.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, quality protocols, and environmental compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education:

  B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering (Full-time) from a recognized university.

• Experience:

  1520 years of experience in Cement/Steel/Power/Process industries with strong exposure to E&I projects, commissioning, and plant maintenance.
• Proven expertise in 132/220 kV switchyards, HT/LT switchgears, large motors (up to 8000 kW), transformers (up to 100 MVA), UPS/DC systems, PLC/DCS-based automation, field instrumentation, and analyzers.
• Strong knowledge of project management, cost control, vendor management, and statutory liaisoning.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, MS Office, SAP/ERP, and PLC/DCS software tools.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
