Role & responsibilities

EHS Management & Compliance

• Develop, implement and maintain the EHS Management System (EHS MS) across the project lifecycle (construction, commissioning, operation) in alignment with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and relevant national regulations.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory health, safety and environmental laws and regulations applicable to renewable energy (wind turbines, solar arrays, high-voltage works, transmission lines).
• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments (HAZIDs/JSAs), job safety analyses and method statements for all major work activities (lifting, working at height, electrical, mechanical, excavation, civil works).
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor EHS performance, conduct audits and site inspections, follow up on corrective & preventive actions.
• Ensure permit-to-work (PTW), lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), Hot Works, height-work, electrical safe isolation systems are in place and adhered to.
• Lead incident/accident investigations, rootcause analysis, implement CAPA (corrective and preventive actions) and maintain incident records.
• Develop and execute emergency preparedness & response plans, arrange mock drills and fire/fall/rescue drills.
• Support environmental aspects: waste management, dust/noise/airemissions control, water usage, biodiversity protection, social safeguards (where applicable) and contractor camp facilities oversight.
  

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain EHS documentation: risk registers, audit reports, inspection records, training records, permits, regulatory filings.
• Prepare and present monthly/quarterly EHS performance reports, trend analysis, improvement plans to the project leadership.
• Ensure contractors submit required EHS plans and documentation before mobilisation and track compliance.
  

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical) or in Environmental Science/Occupational Safety.
• Additional qualification: ADIS
