EHS Manager - Chemical Manufacturing with ETP Exposure

Role & responsibilities

Bachelors Degree in Chemistry/Environment or M.SC Environment Science with Diploma Industrial Safety

• Highly Experienced in liosoning with inter department & external authorities such as consultant, contractors & government authorities for seamless operation and timely completion of projects.
• Experienced in handling major critical plant operation and maintenance like, recovery plant, MEE, ATFD, Crystallization, Effluent R.O.plant, Ultra filtration, Nano filter natural evaporator.
• Experienced in handling Primary, secondary, tertiary treatments, sewage treatment plant, natural cooling tower, press filter, Belt dryer, water plants, like, R.O Plant, etc. In depended setup the laboratory and analysis. Water recharging units.
• Skilled in using total integrated Business Management Solutions SAP, Oracle & MS Office.
• Skilled in project management, entailing project resources, finalization of AMC. Planning for execution of project, procurement, inventory control, erection, commissioning and setup the project.
• Knowledge of the ISO, 5S, HIRA, TPM, Environment and safety related all the legal documents like, NOC & CCA and EC Application, Fire NOC, GIDC approval, Competent Person approval for confined space, PESO approval, compliance, annual returns, monthly online report, GPCB site updating, hazardous waste management. Prepared MIS related reports.

• Preparing Safety Manuals, Project Safety plan, Safety Statistics & Reports.
• Root Cause Analysis, Accident Incident Reporting.
• Hazardous Chemicals and materials handling
• HAZOP,HIRA
• RCA, INCIDENT PREVENTION,INCIDENT INVESTIGATION ,SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT STUDY SAFETY MOCKDRILLS

EHS Surveillance & Audits

• Schedule the EHS Internal Audits like statutory internal safety audit, dyke audit, Fire equipment audit, work permit audit etc.& Review the Audit points with HODs for closure
• Schedule the statutory third party EHS audits & Review the Audit points with HODs for closure
• Coordination with External audits like IMS audit (ISO 9001,14001,45001) ,Customer Audits ,RC audit, TFS audits -carbon foot print w.r.t HSEF

Work permit system implementation

• Review & audit of work permit system & close the gap
• Train the workforce in the work permit system
• Ensure 100% compliance with coordination with HODs

Employee Engagement activities

• Provide the platform for employee to report EHS concern
• Near miss reporting (unsafe act, unsafe conditions)
• EHS walk through round
• Safety representative meetings
• Center safety committee meeting ( CSCM) ,DSCM
• Lead the Investigation of all incident/Accident as per procedure.
• Lead the national safety week, World environment day ,Fire day celebration
• Ensure 100% compliance with coordination with HODs

Emergency Prepaidness & response

• Maintain the healthiness of fire & emergency equipments
• Conduct the mock drill & Truncketed drill, fire drill as per requirements
• Good Knowledge on statutory
• Arrange the training for emergency response team members
• Prepare & Update of Onsite emergency plan
• Periodical audits of Emergency system, Equipments
• Ensure the 100% compliance

Training

• Prepare the training matrix
• Training calendar for the year
• Target 2 Man days training per employee per year
• Arrange the External training on selected topics. PPES compliance
• Good quality of PPES
• Regular trainings on PPES
• Ensure 100% PPES compliance at site.

Legal Compliance

• Coordination with Government agencies like DISH,GPCB,MOEF, GIDC, PESO etc..
• Good knowledge of statutory & regulatory requirements
• Ensure the 100 % Legal compliance

Process Safety Managements Compliance

• Lead the HAZOP , Hazard identification & Risk assessment (HIRA),PHA,QRA
• Management of change (MOC),PSSR,JSA compliance
• Updation of Process safety, Storage safety informations
• Focus of Mechanical Integrity
• Training of employee & contractor

Knowledge of Environment Management

HIGHLIGHT Executes the operation & maintenance of ETP, STP, MEE,RO Plant and manpower planning.

• Knowledge of disposal of Hazardous waste through authorized agencies certified by Pollution

Control Board, Zero discharge of treated effluent.

• Prepare & submit of form IV (Haz. Waste return), Form V ( Environment statement), bio

Medical waste return, GPCB allocated Environment audit report, Monthly Patrak (Form D2) as

per guideline on XGN site and Pollution control office( GPCB).

• Maintain the stocks of ETP chemicals/ETP Lab chemicals and its record..
• Six monthly EC/CCA compliance submit to the Authorities.
• Exposure of new application, renewal procedure of Consolidated Consent and Authorization

(CCA), Consent to Established, Environment Clearance

• Having experience of ETP ,STP commissioning.
• Having experience in Greenfield , Brownfield project.
• Exposure of Ambient Air monitoring, Flue gas emission, process stack emission, Work place area monitoring,.
• Preparation, Implementation and revision of ISO 14001 documentation like, SOP, Aspect-

Impact , Legal register, Departmental goal & targets etc.. . Co-ordinate Occupational Health activities like

• To ensure resources avaible in OHC
• Periodical medical check up
• To Ensure health & hygine releted audits & compliance
• First aid training is provided to selected employees by external agency

Others

• Monthly EHS performance report prepare & presented to the management.
• Preparation, Implementation and revision of ISO documentation like, SOP, HIRA, Aspect-

Impact , Legal register, Departmental goal & targets, KPIS ,Risk & opportunity etc..

• Certified internal auditor in ISO 9000 and 14001 and 18000
• Having experience in Greenfield , Brownfield project
• Budget Preparation considering the future SHE improvements
• Experience in Project (Construction) Safety
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office, SAP etc
