Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located at the upGrad Kolkata Centre for an EdTech Tele Counsellor. The Tele Counsellor will connect with prospective students via phone calls to provide information about upGrad’s educational programs and course offerings. Day-to-day responsibilities include understanding the needs of potential learners, guiding them in choosing relevant courses, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. The role also requires maintaining accurate records of interactions, achieving enrollment targets, and collaborating with the team to enhance student onboarding experiences.Remuneration will be Fixed Pay of ₹10000-12000 per month + Performance based incentives. The final pay structure based on the experience, skills and aptitude of the selected candidate and will be decided by the upGrad Kolkata Learning Centre management.

Qualifications

• Graduate, preferably in Science or Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of work experience with a minimum of 2 years in Edtech or Education Consultancy
• Strong verbal communication skills and active listening abilities for effective counseling
• Sales, persuasion, and negotiation skills to achieve enrollment targets
• Customer relationship management and problem-solving abilities
• Organizational skills to maintain detailed records and manage information efficiently
• Previous experience in education, sales, or telecommunication roles is an added advantage
• Basic technical proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to a dynamic workplace
• Bachelor’s degree in any field required. Relevant professional qualifications or certifications are a plus
