Job Description

Role Overview: You will provide administrative support for the commissioning, submission, and review of manuscripts for publication across a range of research and review journals in the Wolters Kluwer Health collection. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the go-between for Editors, reviewers, and authors, ensuring a high-quality service by following up with their requests, queries, and needs promptly. - Commission content for journals and ensure efficient and timely publication of issues. - Process new and revised manuscript submissions, ensuring correct formatting in adherence with the house style. - Maintain accurate records for each journal, keeping the Publisher and Managing Editor informed of any problems or potential delays. - Maintain and expand reviewer databases. - Manage coordination and processing of supplements. - Ensure adherence to copyright rules and procedures. - Compile citation reports and other data as required. - Build and maintain excellent working relationships with production editors, advising of potential scheduling problems if they arise. - Undertake specified tasks on behalf of the editorial department. - Provide cover for colleagues if needed to ensure the smooth running of the department. Qualifications Required: - Computer literacy is essential, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). - Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels. - Strong organizational skills to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy. - Attention to detail and a desire to learn. - Positive, proactive, can-do attitude, able to adapt easily to change. Additional Details: Applicants may be required to appear onsite at a Wolters Kluwer office as part of the recruitment process.,
