Description
As an eCommerce Marketplace Manager at Akara, your primary responsibility will be to generate qualified traffic, increase brand equity, and drive higher revenue and profit on various marketplaces. You will provide regular reports to the management, highlighting all relevant metrics to showcase marketplace performance. Your role will involve end-to-end pitching and negotiation with marketplaces across Ecommerce/D2C platforms for listings, promotions, volume planning, and margin negotiation. You will collaborate with internal departments such as marketing and design to ensure that product listings are attractive and competitive. Additionally, you will coordinate with the inventory team to guarantee adequate product supply on marketplaces. Strategizing and executing market sampling activities with agencies and marketplaces will be part of your responsibilities. You will be involved in overall sales planning and execution, price benchmarking, and determining pricing strategies. Working closely with the management, you will share ideas for improving funnel conversion, provide feedback, and present sales results. Forecasting and tracking sales from different products and marketplaces will help create relevant plans for focus products and monthly budgets. Furthermore, you will develop and implement strategies to enhance online sales, optimize the user experience on marketplaces, and lead a team of e-commerce specialists. Leading pricing strategies, including discounts and promotional campaigns, and establishing efficient order fulfillment processes will be crucial aspects of your role. Your job will also involve developing system capabilities for competitor benchmarking and keyword insights trends across various channels. Handling customer inquiries and complaints, assessing promotional campaigns, and staying updated with industry trends will be part of your daily tasks. To excel in this role, you must continuously develop and demonstrate skills for hiring, training, and leading team members to meet revenue objectives effectively. Achieving company objectives will involve thorough planning, setting sales goals, analyzing data, and making forecasts. You will also be responsible for creating, executing, and managing paid and organic acquisition campaigns on marketplaces. Your key impact areas will include increasing overall marketplace sales, average order value, customer satisfaction rates, traffic to marketplace listings, and conversions from eCommerce-specific channels. You will also work towards reducing operational issues, expanding the range of products listed on marketplaces, improving customer acquisition, and ensuring high seller ratings. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field and have at least 5 years of experience in online marketplace management. Strong knowledge of the eCommerce industry, proven sales increase track record, proficiency in relevant eCommerce tools, analytical and forecasting skills, excellent communication abilities, negotiation expertise, and problem-solving aptitude are essential requirements. Additionally, a deep understanding of cosmetics/beauty, fashion, and social trends relevant to the business is crucial.
