Dimensional Variation Analysis
Act as technical mentor for the team of DVA engineers.
Central point of contact to co-ordinate pl anned work with support of DVA Leads, ensuring appropriate throughput and correlation with reference DVA results
Conducting DVA St udies to be conducted using both 3DCS (v7.8) software package
Utilise existing DVA vehicle models or generate new local models
Carry out DVA studies to confirm Local Alignment Measurement (LAM) tolerances for new vehicle lines
Carry out DVA exterior function ality and system development (Front/Side/Rear/ Underbody Dimensional Systems)
Be responsible for ensuring all inputs, processes and tolerances are understood, appropriate and modelled accurately within the DVA model; communicating with key stakeholders within Product Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams as required
Provide a summary of study results to agreed format, cascading to relevant stakeholdersIdentify major contributors and make recommendations for how results can be improved towards target
Revi ew and highlight any process improvements that could be implemented into the DVA process, particularly through the implementation of automation & new systems.Other Skills:
Ability to work to high quality to tight deadlines
Ability to work on multiple tasks an d manage prioritiesCan work in isolation requiring minimal intervention from client/onshore Co-ordinatorAble to solve DVA prob lems
Good communicator -both verbal and written English Experience: Ideally qualified to degree level in manufacturi ng or mechanical engineering. Preferably working for global Automotive OEM, Tier1.
