Duty Manager

The Duty Manager at Baywatch Resort, Sernabatim, South Goa in the Front Office department reports to the Front Office Manager. Your main responsibility will be to oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient business running during your shift. Acting as the primary point of contact for both staff and customers, you will resolve operational issues, enforce policies, and uphold service standards. You will be expected to supervise all on-duty staff, ensuring compliance with operational policies and procedures. As the point of escalation for customer complaints, you should promptly and professionally resolve issues. Monitoring staff performance, appearance, and behavior is essential, providing feedback or guidance as needed. Effective coordination and communication between departments are crucial for maintaining operational flow. Maintaining health, safety, and security protocols at all times is a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will be responsible for record-keeping, report preparation, and communication of key updates to senior management. Handling emergency situations and making independent decisions when senior leadership is unavailable is part of your duties. Supporting the training and onboarding of new employees is also expected. Key skills and attributes required for this role include strong leadership and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, multitasking capabilities while remaining calm under pressure, attention to detail, and a proactive approach. Knowledge of relevant regulations and operational procedures is essential, along with the flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays. Qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent (required); a relevant degree or diploma is preferred. You should have at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
