Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled Drone Integration Engineer/Technician to join Yali Aerospace and support the assembly, wiring, testing, and integration of our UAV systems. This is a hands-on technical role suitable for candidates with strong practical experience in electronics, wiring, and mechanical assembly.

Key Responsibilities
1. UAV Assembly & Mechanical Integration

  • Assemble drone airframes, sub-assemblies, and mechanical components as per engineering drawings.
  • Install motors, ESCs, wiring harnesses, landing gear, servos, actuators, and payload mounts.
  • Perform fit-checks, alignment checks, and ensure all hardware is securely integrated.

2. Electrical Wiring & Avionics Integration

  • Route and solder wires, connectors, and power systems based on wiring diagrams.
  • Install flight controllers, GPS units, telemetry modules, radio systems, and sensors.
  • Ensure proper grounding, cable management, and clean wiring for optimal performance.

3. System Testing & Troubleshooting

  • Perform continuity tests, power tests, and subsystem validation before flight.
  • Assist in PX4/Ardupilot configuration under guidance of senior engineers.
  • Identify faults in wiring, electronics, and mechanical assemblies and resolve issues.

4. Documentation & Quality Control

  • Maintain build logs, checklists, and integration records for each UAV.
  • Follow quality standards and report any defects to the Engineering or QC team.
  • Ensure all components meet safety and performance requirements.

5. Inventory & Workshop Management

  • Track components used for assembly and report shortages.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and ensure the workspace is organized and safe.
  • Follow proper handling procedures for batteries, electronics, and sensitive components.

6. Support for Testing & Field Operations

  • Assist engineers during ground tests, calibration, and flight readiness checks.
  • Support flight teams during field testing, logistics, and on-ground preparation.
  • Participate in integration improvements and prototype builds as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in drone assembly, robotics, electronics, or mechatronics.
  • Hands-on experience with soldering, wiring, and mechanical tools.
  • Basic understanding of UAV components and flight systems.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow SOPs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PX4 platforms (added advantage).
  • Diploma/ITI in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics.
  • Prior work experience in UAV or robotics industry.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
