Driver

Job Summary:

The Drivers Staff is responsible for the safe and
timely transportation of goods, materials, and sometimes personnel for ourtextile retail store. This role requires a valid drivers license, a cleandriving record, familiarity with local roads in Kerala, and a commitment tosafety and efficiency. Depending on the specific assignment, duties may includedelivering goods to stores or customers, transporting stock between locations,or running errands as required.

Responsibilities:

• Operate company vehicles (e.g., vans, trucks) safely and
  efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for deliveries and
  pickups.
• Ensure the timely delivery and collection of goods and materials.
  
  
• Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring items are
  handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting during transit.
  
  
• In some cases, may be responsible for delivering online orders or
  special customer orders.
• Obtain necessary delivery confirmations and signatures.
  
  
• Perform daily checks on the assigned vehicle (e.g., tires, lights,
  fluids) and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the
  vehicle.
• Ensure the vehicle has sufficient fuel and necessary
  documentation.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and other
  required documentation.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or delays to the store manager
  immediately.
• When not engaged in driving duties, may be required to assist with
  basic warehouse or store tasks such as organizing stock, packing, or other logistical support.
• Follow instructions from the Logistics Manager, Dispatch
  In-charge, or Store Manager.
• Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
  
  
• Ensure the safety of the vehicles contents and other road users.
  
  
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner, especially when
  interacting with store staff, customers, or other stakeholders.
