Divisional Risk and Control Specialist - AVP

Role Overview: You will be joining as a Divisional Risk and Control Specialist - AVP in the Business Control Unit (BCU) of the front office in Mumbai. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) process and work closely with various teams to understand and manage non-financial risks within the division. Key Responsibilities: - Collate and analyze contextual data to inform an accurate Risk Profile - Update Inherent Risk, Control Suite & Residual Risk rating and rationale - Participate in RCA workshops and document mitigation decisions - Create senior management reporting, lead change initiatives, and run NFRCs - Ensure Key Operating Policies & Procedures are documented and up to date - Perform and monitor level 1 controls, initiate enhancements, and manage operational risk - Provide support for audit reviews, compliance testing, and risk remediation - Offer analytical support to senior management decision making and manage ad-hoc tasks as needed Qualifications Required: - MBA in Finance from a premier institution with relevant banking domain experience - Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - Ability to work as part of a global team and conduct meetings with senior stakeholders - Strong computer skills with advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint - Strong analytical skills and ability to present information compellingly - Confident to question existing business practices and control frameworks Additional Details: The BCU team focuses on identifying and mitigating non-financial risks, supporting an efficient supervisory and conduct framework, ensuring governance of a business audit portfolio, and driving Change the Bank initiatives to enhance the control framework. You will have the opportunity to work closely with various functions within the organization and support the Global BCU function in various capacities.
