Dispatch Manager

Job Summary:

The Dispatch Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing dispatch operations of cattle feed products from the manufacturing facility to distributors, dealers, and customers. The role requires strong coordination with production, sales, and logistics teams to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of feed products. The Dispatch Manager must ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and quality standards while optimizing dispatch efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute dispatch schedules to meet customer demand and sales requirements.

Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure the availability of finished feed for dispatch.

Supervise loading operations, ensuring correct quantity, packaging, and product quality before shipment.

Manage transporters/trucking partners for timely vehicle availability and cost-effective delivery.

Monitor and control transportation costs, fuel utilization, and route optimization.

Ensure proper documentation including invoices, delivery challans, weighbridge slips, e-way bills, and statutory permits.

Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, stock movements, and delivery confirmations.

Handle customer complaints or delivery issues and provide timely resolution.

Implement and maintain safety, hygiene, and compliance standards for cattle feed dispatch operations.

Train and supervise dispatch staff, loaders, and drivers for efficient and safe operations.

Monitor vehicle turnaround time, reduce delays, and improve dispatch productivity.

Coordinate with Sales & Distribution teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations across rural and urban markets.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

5–7 years of experience in dispatch/logistics management, preferably in cattle feed, FMCG, or agro-based manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of dispatch planning, transportation, and warehouse operations.
