Job Description

Dispatch Planning & Coordination Plan and schedule daily dispatches based on sales orders or delivery schedules. Coordinate with production, stores, and logistics teams to ensure timely dispatch. Allocate transport based on order size, location, and urgency. Documentation & Compliance Prepare and verify dispatch documents such as: Invoice Delivery Challan (DC) E-way bills Transport permits (if applicable) Ensure accurate quantity, product code, and address details on paperwork. Logistics & Transport Management Arrange transportation (own fleet or third-party) and negotiate freight rates. Track vehicle movement and delivery status. Coordinate with transporters for on-time pickup and delivery. Packaging & Loading Supervision Ensure proper packing and labeling as per product type and order. Oversee loading process to minimize damage and optimize space. Verify material against invoice and delivery note before dispatch. Record Keeping & Reporting Maintain dispatch records (manual and system-based) for all shipments. Generate daily/weekly/monthly dispatch reports. Maintain proof of delivery (POD) documents. Customer Coordination Inform customers about dispatch schedules and tracking details. Handle delivery-related complaints or issues. Share POD or invoice copies when needed. Key Skills Technical & System Skills Familiarity with dispatch modules in ERP/Tally/Logistics software. Knowledge of GST invoicing and e-way bill generation.
