Job Purpose:

The Dispatch Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing dispatch activities for PEB (Pre-Engineered Building) components from the factory. The role ensures timely, accurate, and safe delivery of materials to project sites, while adhering to quality and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispatch Planning & Execution

  • Plan daily/weekly dispatch schedules based on site requirements and production output.
  • Coordinate with production, stores, and logistics teams for material readiness.
  • Ensure proper stacking, packing, and loading of PEB components (columns, rafters, beams, sheets, accessories, etc.) to prevent damage in transit.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and verify dispatch documents (Delivery Challan, Packing List, LR, Invoice).
  • Maintain records of dispatched materials in ERP/manual systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and statutory regulations for transportation.

Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with site engineers, project managers, and transporters for smooth delivery.
  • Track dispatched consignments and update site teams on status.
  • Coordinate with transporters for vehicle arrangement and timely dispatch.

Quality & Safety

  • Ensure materials are handled as per safety guidelines and quality standards.
  • Conduct pre-dispatch inspections to verify material quantity and quality.
  • Monitor proper lashing, securing, and safety of loads before vehicle departure.

Inventory & Control

  • Update stock movement records post-dispatch.
  • Reconcile dispatch records with stores and accounts.
  • Highlight material shortages or excess to concerned departments.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil / Production Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2–5 years of experience

    in dispatch/logistics, preferably in

    PEB / Steel structures / Manufacturing industry

    .
  • Knowledge of

    PEB components, dispatch processes, and transport handling

    .
  • Proficiency in

    MS Excel / ERP systems

    .
  • Strong coordination, planning, and documentation skills.
