Director, UX Design

As the UX Design Director and Regional Practice Lead at Vistaprint, you will play a pivotal role in driving discovery and delivery of digital product solutions. You will lead a team of UX Designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering growth through regular interactions. Your responsibilities will include directly managing 4 UX team members aligned to VCS, identifying and coaching through design challenges, and ensuring clear, actionable goals are set for the team. You will also oversee recruiting, drive design quality, and provide strong UX and visual direction. Additionally, as the Regional Practice Lead based in India, you will define and implement operating models, mentor UX team members, and foster a sense of community and inclusion. **Key Responsibilities:** - Drive discovery and delivery of digital product solutions - Mentor and guide a team of UX Designers - Manage 4 UX team members aligned to VCS - Identify and coach through design challenges - Set clear, actionable goals and provide consistent feedback - Oversee recruiting and drive design quality - Define and implement operating models and UX best practices - Provide mentorship and guidance for 10 UX team members in India - Foster a sense of community and inclusion **Your Qualifications:** - 12+ years of experience designing innovative digital products in the e-commerce space - 8+ years of collaborative work with product, engineering, design, content, and user research teams - 6+ years advising and mentoring junior designers - Strong discovery and delivery skills - Ability to articulate a comprehensive strategy for solving complex problems - Strong communication and relationship building skills - Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to inspire design concepts - Excellent visual and typographic sensibility - Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and/or Sketch - Relevant degree in Design or HCI (Nice to have) - Experience with service design and complex roadmap planning (Nice to have) At Vista, you are encouraged to apply even if you feel you do not meet all the exact requirements or qualifications.
