Director - Procurement

As a Procurement Head at Amagi, you will play a vital role in leading the sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management functions, with a particular emphasis on cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Akamai) and SaaS tools procurement. Your strategic approach will be instrumental in optimizing technology spend and fostering strong relationships with crucial vendors in a dynamic SaaS environment. Your responsibilities will include devising end-to-end procurement strategies for cloud infrastructure and SaaS platforms, cultivating and maintaining relationships with key technology vendors, and driving contract negotiations to ensure optimal service, pricing, and support. Moreover, you will be tasked with identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities, collaborating closely with finance and engineering teams to align procurement with budget and technology objectives, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Collaboration across various functions such as Engineering, Security, Legal, and Product teams will be essential for understanding infrastructure and software requirements and supporting scaling initiatives by procuring the right technology tools promptly. You will also be responsible for developing frameworks for contract negotiation and renewal, managing risks associated with vendor lock-in, data security, and service downtime. To excel in this role, you should bring over 15 years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally within a SaaS or technology-focused company. Your track record should demonstrate proficiency in negotiating large-scale contracts with cloud infrastructure providers and SaaS vendors, understanding SaaS financial models and cloud billing optimization, and delivering substantial cost savings and vendor consolidation strategies. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are crucial, along with a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field. Additionally, a certification in procurement/supply chain and experience working with global teams and vendors would be advantageous.,
