Director, People Operations

As a Director, People Operations at Flywire, you will have the opportunity to lead and scale the global people operations shared services. Your role will involve overseeing the design, optimization, and execution of people processes across multiple countries to ensure compliance, efficiency, and a world-class employee experience. You will collaborate closely with various departments such as People Business Partners, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, and IT to facilitate a seamless lifecycle for all FlyMates, from onboarding to offboarding. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Leadership & Strategy** - Lead and develop the Global People Operations team, offering mentorship and operational guidance. - Define and implement the long-term strategy for global HR service delivery in alignment with company growth. - Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR operations, compliance, and employee experience. - **Process Excellence** - Own and enhance end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, mobility, employee data management, and compliance reporting. - Ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across HR systems and workflows globally. - Drive process automation and self-service initiatives to enhance scalability and employee experience. - **Systems & Data** - Supervise the administration, implementation, and optimization of the Workday HCM system. - Establish robust HR analytics and reporting capabilities to support data-driven decision-making, leveraging AI where applicable. - **Compliance & Risk Management** - Ensure global compliance with employment laws, data privacy regulations, and company policies. - Collaborate with Legal and regional HR leaders to handle audits, filings, and risk mitigation. - Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and data governance standards. - **Employee Experience** - Advocate for a people-first, globally inclusive approach to HR operations. - Ensure that policies, processes, and communications are clear, consistent, and equitable. - Drive continuous feedback loops with employees and managers to enhance operational practices. **Qualifications:** - 10+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience, with at least 5 years leading teams in a global environment. - Strong expertise in HR systems (preferably Workday), process optimization, and compliance frameworks. - Demonstrated success in building scalable processes across multiple geographies. - Deep knowledge of Global employment law practices is highly preferred. - Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and change management skills. - Analytical mindset with experience in developing dashboards and reporting capabilities. - Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-growth, global company. **Preferred Experience:** - Experience in a public technology company. - Proven success in leading HR digital transformation initiatives.
