Director of Restaurants & Bars

As the Director of Restaurants & Bars at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, your role involves managing all restaurant and kitchen operations and staff on a daily basis, including Restaurants/Bars, Room Service, and Kitchen. You will work closely with the food and beverage/culinary management team and employees to ensure successful execution of all operations. Your main goal is to enhance guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance. Key Responsibilities: - Estimate food, liquor, wine, and other beverage consumption to anticipate purchasing needs - Maintain service and sanitation standards in restaurant, bar/lounge, and room service areas - Order and purchase necessary equipment and supplies - Establish challenging and realistic goals for the operation and performance - Develop and manage budgets, identifying financial opportunities and controlling expenses - Lead the food and beverage team by demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Ensure exceptional customer service by going above and beyond to meet guest needs - Manage human resource activities by providing guidance, setting performance standards, and conducting performance appraisals for direct reports - Communicate effectively with executives, peers, and subordinates, sharing relevant information in a timely manner - Analyze information, evaluate results, and solve problems effectively - Recognize and promote good quality products and presentations Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or GED with 6 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related field OR - 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major from an accredited university with 4 years of relevant experience In addition to the job responsibilities, JW Marriott is committed to maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce, upholding a people-first culture.
