Title: Director New Business

(aka: The Fearless Door-Opener, Relationship Charmer & Revenue Hunter)

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 10+ years in agency biz dev across digital/creative/media

WHO YOU ARE

You’re not here to “develop relationships” or “leverage synergy.”

You’re here to open doors, own rooms, and outsmart RFPs before they hit anyone else’s inbox.

You:

  • Are a strategic predator with a sixth sense for opportunities
  • Know consumers, digital, brand, media and MarTech like the back of your (well-accessorised) hand
  • Can translate tech into sexy, strategy into sizzle
  • Charm CMOs, disarm CTOs, impress CFOs
  • Can wrangle creatives, get strategy to sharpen up, and still keep the commercial maths tight


WHAT YOU’LL DO

1. Lead the Growth Engine

  • Build, manage and accelerate the new business pipeline
  • Chase cold leads, warm intros, and everything in between
  • Craft killer pitch decks that dazzle in slides 1 and 17

2. Be the Bridge Between Mad Ideas & Market Fit

  • Collaborate with creative, strategy, tech and media to build irresistible proposals
  • Package unconventional ideas with commercial smarts
  • Translate AI, automation and MarTech into business value

3. Grow the Business (and Your Bonus)

  • Expand existing accounts with upsells, cross-sells and brilliant re-sells
  • Track revenue, margins, and what’s cooking in Finance’s spreadsheets
  • Shape offerings based on market shifts, not just what’s on the menu

4. Stay Ahead of the Game

  • Sniff out consumer, media, market trends and competitor moves
  • Represent the agency at pitch meets, forums, webinars and late-night WhatsApp huddles
  • Keep us looking sharp on LinkedIn and sounding smart in thought-leadership circles


MUST-HAVES

  • 10+ years in digital, creative, or integrated agency business development
  • B2B experience with proven wins across verticals
  • Familiarity with AI-led solutions: automation, chatbots, analytics, etc.
  • Pitch-to-close ninja: from ice-breaker to signature
  • Tech-savvy and commercially smart
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, or something equally sensible
