Our Global Business Services teams play a crucial role in supporting this mission by providing essential services across the globe. This leadership position based in Bangalore holds the key responsibility of establishing and expanding the IT Tower within Global Business Services (GBS) Bangalore. The role entails driving operational excellence, talent acquisition, and capability development while ensuring alignment with the enterprise IT strategy. The ideal candidate will possess strategic thinking coupled with a strong execution mindset, capable of leading a high-performing team in a dynamic global setting. Key Responsibilities: - IT Service Area Establishment & Execution: - Lead the setup of the IT Service Area within GBS, focusing on scalability and sustainability. - Develop and implement processes, governance frameworks, SLAs, and best practices for efficient IT service delivery. - Collaborate with IT leadership to define priorities, objectives, and success metrics. - Operational Management & Service Delivery: - Oversee daily operations within the GBS IT Service Area to ensure high-quality service delivery. - Serve as a point of escalation for IT-related issues impacting GBS. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness. - Talent Acquisition & Leadership: - Lead the hiring and onboarding of IT talent within the GBS IT Tower. - Develop and implement a talent management strategy focusing on skill development, career progression, and retention. - Foster a strong team culture aligned with organizational values and goals. - Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: - Partner with IT Business Partners, functional leaders, and enterprise IT teams to align the GBS IT Service Area with broader IT and business objectives. - Ensure effective communication and collaboration with platform owners, external vendors, and key stakeholders. - Represent the IT Service Area in leadership discussions, providing insights on operational performance and strategic initiatives. Requirements: - Bachelors and/or Masters in: Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information-oriented Business Administration/ Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. - 10+ years of experience in IT service management, operations, or enterprise IT leadership roles. - Proven track record in setting up or scaling IT functions in a GBS or shared services environment. - Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in hiring and talent development. - Excellent understanding of key business processes and performance measurement. - Proficiency in Project Management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Scrum, PRINCE2). - Executive presentation skills and experience working across multiple levels of business stakeholders. - Knowledge in software programming, application development, and automation tools. - Familiarity with applications like SAP, Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow.
