Hiring: Director cum Professor for Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA) Institute Location: Nagpur, Maharashtra Organization: Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Nagpur. Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification (any one of the following): M.D. in Hospital Administration / Community Medicine / PSM from MCI/NMC recognized institute OR Health Science Graduate with MBA in Hospital Administration / Health Care Administration from premier institute and recognised University. OR Postgraduate in any clinical subject / Hospital Administration with extensive hospital administration experience of working in premier institutes only (TISS, IIHMR, SYMBIOSIS, ISB, AIIMS, IIM, ASCI, etc.) Experience (any one of the following): 3 years as Associate Professor in recognized medical college/institution with 4 research publications in indexed journals OR 3 years as Associate Professor in MBA (Hospital Administration) program affiliated to a Health Sciences University or work experience in premier institutes (TISS, IIHMR, SYMBIOSIS, ISB, AIIMS, IIM, ASCI, etc.) with 4 indexed journal publications OR 15 years of experience in Hospital/Health Administration (including minimum 5 years as Medical Officer) or work experience in premier institutes (TISS, IIHMR, SYMBIOSIS, ISB, AIIMS, IIM, ASCI, etc.) with 4 indexed journal publications Other Important Details Research Publications: Minimum four research publications in indexed journals as first/second/third/corresponding author Upper Age Limit: Preference will be given to candidates in the age group of 40-50 yrs Position: Director cum Professor for Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA) Institute Department: Hospital Administration Salary: As per industry standards and guidelines. Key Result Areas (KRAs): Director cum Professor for Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA) Institute Strategic Leadership | Ecosystem Development | Academic-Administrative Head 1. Strategic Program Development & Academic Vision Define and implement a strategic roadmap for the MHA program aligned with healthcare industry demands, regulatory bodies, and MUHS objectives. Position the department as a regional leader in Hospital & Healthcare Management education and practice. Foster a future-ready curriculum with focus on digital transformation, operational efficiency, health economics, and leadership. 2. Academic Excellence & Curriculum Leadership Periodically review and enhance the syllabus and teaching methods to integrate NABH/JCI/ISO standards, Hospital IT, Health Insurance, Digital Health, and Quality Assurance. Introduce modular certifications (Lean Six Sigma, Health Informatics, TPA operations, Legal Compliance in Hospitals). Promote simulation-based and case-based learning aligned with real-time hospital challenges. 3. Faculty Development, Research & Innovation Build a multidisciplinary faculty team including healthcare administrators, clinical experts, and industry professionals. Promote faculty research , publications in indexed journals, and industry-sponsored projects. Host and participate in academic conferences, FDPs, and research summits to enhance faculty competence and visibility. 4. Accreditation, Compliance & Institutional Quality Drive accreditation readiness for NAAC, NABH (Entry/Full), ISO, and other national/international bodies relevant to hospital administration education. Ensure documentation, compliance, SOP development, and internal audits for regulatory inspections and program approvals . Prepare the department for MUHS academic audits , inspections, and quality benchmarking. 5. Hospital & Industry Collaborations Forge strategic partnerships with corporate hospitals, NGOs, health insurance firms, TPAs , accreditation agencies, and healthcare IT companies. Create a Hospital Management Practice Lab for students to experience live projects and hospital problem-solving. Enable joint projects, faculty consulting, and operational research with hospital partners. 6. Student Internship Program (Group Hospitals & External Partners) Design, coordinate, and supervise internship placements for all students within your group of hospitals and external partners. Create structured learning modules for internship rotations in operations, HR, finance, quality, patient services, insurance , and pharmacy management . Ensure each students internship includes deliverables, assessments, and mentor feedback . Track outcomes to continuously improve internship quality and relevance. 7. Placement, Career Services & Alumni Engagement Develop a robust campus-to-career pipeline , ensuring 100% placements in hospitals, healthcare consulting firms, insurance/TPA firms, and health startups. Organize mock interviews, career workshops, leadership talks , and placement drives . Build a strong alumni network to support mentorship, industry visibility, and institutional growth. 8. International Collaborations & Exchange Programs Initiate and manage faculty and student exchange programs with global healthcare management institutions. Lead joint certificate programs , guest lectures, and collaborative research with international universities. Enable immersion programs, online joint classrooms, and virtual collaborations on global health topics. 9. Administrative, Financial & Institutional Governance Oversee academic and administrative functioning of the department including budgeting, staffing, scheduling , and infrastructure development . Coordinate with university and statutory bodies for timely submissions, renewals, and reports. Ensure ERP-enabled transparent governance and academic operations . 10. Branding, Outreach & Academic Thought Leadership Enhance the visibility of the MHA program through digital campaigns, institutional presentations, healthcare forums, and research showcases . Represent the institution in national and international platforms as a thought leader in hospital and health systems management. Publish annual program reports, placement reviews , and impact stories to strengthen brand equity.
