Role & responsibilities

Review the item master to identify any anomalies with regards to cost, inventory classification.

Oversee the inventory analysis, such as, aging of inventory including WIP, following up with respective teams to identify non-moving inventory and reporting to management.

Review and analyse variance analysis, comparing actual vs budgets and working with management to identify reasons for deviation.

Understanding of Inventory Costing , weighted average specific costing experience

Set up and design the cost program Covering Most of Inventory Costing for global business

Overseeing monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities including balance sheet reconciliations.

Review and Audit and recommend suggestion on Service Contracting for global business, Repair Contract for global business

He/ she will be the point person for inventory upon on the US and the statutory audits, transfer pricing

AOP for Costing Business

Sound knowledge on transfer pricing to ensure intercompany markups is maintained.

Lead US and statutory audits with regards to Inventory and cost accounting.

Lead new inventory group process designs, including categorization and valuation.

Review the inventory roll forwards every month.

Identifying and fixing the internal control issues with regards to inventory management

Supporting management in developing the cost records including cost sheet.

Exposure on project cost tracking and gross margin analysis.

Reviewing the new assembly cost and assigning the labour and overhead rates.

Verifying the accounting for shipments and internal usage of material.

Capitalization of inventories procured for inhouse fixed asset construction.

Guide team in implementation of new ERP costing system and work to improve existing processes.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate having awareness on GST law with regards to purchase/sale/transfers is preferable.

Must have working knowledge of ERP like; SAP, Oracle, Microsoft applications

Costing side one needs at least 8 years+ of experience

A fairly senior person, someone that's going to be well spoken that you know isn't going to back down or be intimidated.

Prefer it as to just like standard costing experience, understanding of nuances rate, with weighted average versus standard costing or any of the other.

Experience the variance analysis comparing actual to budget

Experience with project accounting or project accounting module could be helpful

Experience with refurbishment center or refurbished inventory or rotable inventory is preferred

Don't definitely need them to have ERP implementation experience
