Job Description

As the Director - Corporate Systems at JCPenney, you will lead the Corporate Systems portfolio in both the US (Plano) and India (Bangalore), overseeing Finance, HR, Legal, and Procurement systems. Your role involves partnering closely with global stakeholders to modernize, manage, and support enterprise applications. You are expected to have extensive experience in managing large-scale application landscapes, executing digital transformation initiatives, and building scalable global teams. Your influence will be crucial in defining JCPenney's Corporate technology strategy in collaboration with peers in the US and India. This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing, Merchandising, Corporate Systems, and Reporting. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the global technology strategy, implementation, and support for corporate functions including Finance, HR, Legal, and Procurement. - Drive digital transformation initiatives across corporate systems by migrating legacy platforms to scalable, cost-effective SaaS/cloud solutions. - Collaborate with global business leaders to define roadmaps and deliver high-impact solutions aligned with business priorities. - Manage a high-performing global team of engineers, analysts, and Sr. managers to support 24/7 technology operations across the US and India. - Implement Agile and DevOps-based delivery and support models, integrating automation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement processes. - Oversee vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and SLAs for major corporate technology platforms and services. - Deliver and manage operational and capital budgets, tracking and reporting value realization and ROI. - Provide leadership and coaching to managers to ensure effective project or service delivery in a team-oriented environment. - Evaluate associate performance levels and leverage talent resources effectively, focusing on building internal capability and identifying key talent for key positions. - Influence cross-functionally to drive results and stay informed about industry innovations and trends. - Demonstrate experience in managing large-scale ERP implementation or migration projects, with retail experience desired. **Qualifications:** - Minimum 15+ years of leadership experience. - Strong leadership skills and experience managing global teams. - Proficiency in talent management and strategy setting. - Strong technology understanding and ability to learn new areas. - Ability to guide, develop, and design technically scalable, performant, and cost-optimized technical solutions. - Promote a DevOps culture with a focus on data quality. - Experience leading multiple managers and teams of varying sizes and complexity. - Effective communication and representation of responsibilities across the organization. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to driving solutions across IT. - Operate with minimal supervision while confirming direction and decisions with senior leadership. - High level of collaboration with cross-functional teams required.
