Director - Business Applications

As the Director of Business Applications at VitalEdge, your role involves leading the strategy, delivery, and optimization of enterprise systems across all enterprise functions such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Operations. Your key responsibilities include: - Strategic Leadership & Governance: - Define and execute the enterprise applications strategy aligned with business goals. - Establish governance processes for application lifecycle management, AI/automation adoption, and data integrity. - Application Portfolio Management: - Oversee the implementation, optimization, and support of core systems like NetSuite, D365, OpenAir, Gong, CPQ & Zone Billing. - Lead application rationalization, upgrades, and system integration initiatives. - AI-Driven Innovation: - Champion the ethical adoption of AI/ML capabilities within enterprise applications. - Ensure responsible AI practices by aligning with data privacy, fairness, and transparency standards. - Integration & Automation Architecture: - Lead the design and execution of system integrations and process automations. - Ensure seamless data flow across the application ecosystem with high data quality and system resilience. - Team Leadership & Vendor Management: - Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams across business applications, integration, and automation functions. - Manage relationships with software vendors and implementation partners. - Stakeholder Collaboration: - Act as a trusted partner to business leaders in various functions. - Ensure end-user engagement and change management throughout projects. - Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: - Define and track KPIs for application performance and business value realization. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and process optimization. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field. - MBA or relevant masters degree (preferred). - At least 15 years of experience in enterprise/business applications with leadership experience. - Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, OpenAir, Gong, CPQ tools, and Zone Billing. - Experience with integration and workflow automation platforms. - Understanding of ethical AI principles and data governance. - Deep understanding of business processes and cloud-native application design. - Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills. Certifications such as NetSuite Administrator, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant, Workato Automation Pro, PMP, ITIL, or Agile are preferred.
