Job Description

Position Summary

The role will provide overall program ownership and delivery oversight for large data engineering and platform modernization initiatives. This role is accountable for end-to-end delivery, governance, and stakeholder management across multiple workstreams, including modernization and migration programs involving Databricks, Informatica, Airflow, and legacy platforms. The role focuses on direction, decision-making, risk management, and ensuring teams deliver on time, within scope, and with expected quality.

Job Responsibilities

Own end-to-end delivery of data engineering and modernization programs across multiple teams.
Define delivery approach, milestones, and success metrics.
Ensure commitments on scope, timelines, cost, and quality are met.
Provide technical direction and review for:

Migration from Informatica BDM to Databricks
Orchestration migration from TIDAL to Apache Airflow

Review architecture, migration plans, and delivery approach proposed by architects and leads.
Ensure alignment to platform standards, scalability, and operational readiness.
Establish and run delivery governance including status reviews, risk & issue tracking, and escalation management.
Ensure data quality, reconciliation, documentation, and audit readiness are built into delivery.
Drive consistency in delivery standards across teams and vendors.
Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders and clients.
Facilitate decision-making and resolve cross-team or cross-vendor dependencies.
Communicate delivery status, risks, and mitigation plans in a clear and structured manner.
Lead and mentor Project Managers, Technical Leads, and Architects.
Oversee capacity planning, role clarity, and utilization across teams.
Manage coordination across onshore, offshore, and partner teams.
Own program-level budget tracking, forecasting, and change management.
Support SOW planning, scope clarification, and resourcing models.
Ensure delivery aligns with agreed commercial and contractual terms.
Conduct steering committee updates, manage scope and budgets.

BE/B.Tech

Master of Computer Application

Work Experience

17+ years in pharma/healthcare data projects, with 12+ years of experience in data, analytics, or data engineering programs and 5+ years in a Delivery Director, Program Director role.
Knowledge of platforms like Databricks-based data platforms, Informatica (BDM, IICS / IDMC), Apache Airflow and enterprise scheduling
Proven experience leading large data modernization or migration programs.
Strong experience in Agile / hybrid delivery models.
Excellent stakeholder communication and escalation management skills.
Familiarity with Agile, Confluence, JIRA, Smartsheet.
Experience managing multi-vendor or global delivery programs.
Exposure to regulated or audit-heavy environments.
Experience supporting proposal, SOW, or program initiation activities.
