Experienced Safety Officer with 5 years experience Job Summary: The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and enforcing compliance with safety regulations. The role involves working closely with employees, management, and regulatory bodies to minimize workplace hazards. Key Responsibilities: Safety Compliance & Implementation: Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety regulations. Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures. Conduct site inspections and audits to identify hazards. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control: Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions. Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports. Training & Awareness: Conduct safety training programs for employees. Organize emergency drills (fire, evacuation, first aid, etc.). Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Incident Response & Reporting: Respond to safety incidents and coordinate emergency response. Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation. Collaborate with regulatory authorities during safety audits. Key Requirements: Education: Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent safety certifications preferred.
