Digital Publishing Specialist (EPUB + XML)

As a Digital Publishing Specialist / EPUB-XML Operator, your role involves creating, structuring, and validating digital content for eBooks, online learning platforms, and publishing systems using EPUB and XML workflows. You will be using industry-standard tools to ensure error-free deliverables across various devices and platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Convert manuscripts and source files into EPUB2/EPUB3 formats. - Apply XML structuring (DTD, XSD, Schema) for content organization. - Troubleshoot and fix validation errors in EPUB and XML files. - Ensure compatibility of digital content across devices (Kindle, iOS, Android, etc.). - Integrate XML-based workflows with Content Management Systems (CMS). - Collaborate with editors, designers, and QA teams for smooth delivery. - Stay updated with the latest publishing technologies, EPUB standards, and XML best practices. Qualifications Required: - Any Graduate with a preference for Computer Science, IT, Publishing, English, or related field. - 3 years of experience in digital publishing with expertise in EPUB and XML workflows. The company values your strong knowledge of EPUB2/EPUB3, XML, DTD, XSD, as well as hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, and XHTML. Familiarity with tools like Oxygen XML Editor, Sigil, Calibre, InDesign, and Kindle Previewer is essential. An understanding of XSLT, XPath, and Schema validation is preferred. Your ability to handle formatting, structuring, and metadata tagging, along with excellent attention to detail, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills, will be key to success in this role.,
