Digital Asset Manager/Media Librarian

Job Summary

We are seeking a Digital Asset Manager / Media Librarian to organise, manage, and maintain our digital and physical media assets, including video, audio, images, scripts, and other multimedia content.
This role supports production, editorial, and archival teams by ensuring media content is easy to find, properly catalogued, and compliant with copyright and usage standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Organise, catalogue, and index digital and physical media assets
• Add and maintain accurate metadata for quick and efficient retrieval
• Manage and support the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system
• Maintain media archives, backups, and long-term preservation processes
• Retrieve and deliver media content for internal teams such as producers, editors, and researchers
• Track copyright, licensing, and usage rights for all media assets
• Ensure quality control of files, metadata accuracy, and digitisation standards
• Assist in acquiring and organising new media resources
• Provide basic guidance to staff on media systems and best practices
• Collaborate with production, editorial, and IT teams to improve media workflows

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of media cataloguing and metadata standards

(Dublin Core, MARC, PBCore – training supported)

• Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems or media libraries
• Understanding of copyright, licensing, and intellectual property in media
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage large volumes of digital content
• Comfortable working with video, audio, image, and document files
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
• Library & Information Science
• Media Studies
• Archival Studies
• Journalism / Mass Communication
• or a related field
• Experience in media libraries, broadcasting, publishing, or digital content management is a plus but not mandatory
• Knowledge of production or broadcast workflows is an advantage

Pay: ₹15,284.33 - ₹30,000.00 per month
