Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Ability to understand business processes and systems.

  • Collecting and analyzing data related to expenses from each business / function

  • Estimating costs and comparing budgets with actual expenses

  • Monitoring costs in case of any significant changes in products or processes

  • Gather and analyze financial data. Well-versed with SAP FI to extract data on a frequent basis and work on even minor details for identifying the alarming costs.

  • Suggest cost-optimizing or profitable solutions

  • Continuous churning of Data. Keen to dig and identify the variation in actuals and budgeted.

  • Conduct detailed analysis of expense data, including but not limited to, operating expenses, capital expenditures, and discretionary spending.

  • Keep a proper check on the increasing trend of expenses and sensitize the concern department to control the same

  • Create and maintain reports & dashboards that visualizes key expense metrics, trends, and variances

  • Present findings and insights to concern businesses/depts., making complex financial data accessible and actionable

  • Compare forecasted and actual expenses, discuss with the department head, if the difference is alarming.

  • Standardize processes and use learnings across businesses, benchmark external organizations and adhere to industry standards to develop a robust cost control system.

  • Generate expense reports and work closely with the analytics team to represent exceptions, KPIs and trends analysis at AFS level.

Experience

10+ years

Industry Preferred

Automotive, Manufacturing, Heavy asset, Engineering industry, Management consulting firms dealing in similar industry.

Qualifications

CA

MBA - Finance (Reputed Institute)

General Requirements

  • Experience in data, operational and financials

  • Proven experience as a cost analyst, cost specialist or similar role of analysis

  • Knowledge of accounting processes and software (SAP FI)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong business acumen

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills



  • Assertive in approach

  • Strong in Executive Presence

  • Well versed in analytics

  • Have experience in Cost/Expense analysis.

  • Expert in identifying variation in expenses.

  • Expert in Extracting Data from SAP FI and analyzing it for better governance, controls and cost optimization.

  • Extremely good at communication & influencing skills.

  • Very Assertive and eloquent in communicating with Sr. Management / leadership / stakeholders.
