Deputy General Manager - Finance

Role & responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities across the Group.
  • Support business performance evaluation by preparing periodic financial reports, analyzing variances, and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare financial projections, conduct risk assessments, and identify key financial metrics to support informed business decisions.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Oversee compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS), statutory regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities to facilitate accurate audits and ensure full compliance.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor and optimize cash flow, working capital, and investment strategies to maintain financial health.
  • Manage day-to-day treasury operations, including banking relationships, financing needs, and financial risk mitigation.

Taxation and Risk Management:

  • Oversee tax planning, filing, and compliance for both indirect taxes (GST, customs, etc.) and direct taxes (income tax, transfer pricing, etc.).
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, providing strategic guidance to ensure seamless financial operations.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to foster high performance, engagement, and professional growth.
  • Promote a collaborative and efficient finance department culture, encouraging motivation and continuous improvement.

Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate closely with other departments and business units to deliver financial insights aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Support senior management in strategic decision-making, including mergers, acquisitions, and financial due diligence.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes, systems, and controls to boost efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Implement industry best practices in financial management, reporting, and accounting procedures.
