DevOps Engineer

As a skilled DevOps Engineer joining our IT team, you will play a crucial role in automating, monitoring, and enhancing our software development and deployment processes. Your expertise in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes will be essential for success in this role. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar platforms. You will automate infrastructure provisioning and management through tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure performance, security, and cost on AWS, Azure, or GCP will also be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will build and manage containerized applications with Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes or ECS. Collaboration with development, QA, and security teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration is vital. You will be tasked with setting up and maintaining monitoring, alerting, and logging systems utilizing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog. Troubleshooting and resolving issues across development, test, and production environments, along with implementing high availability and disaster recovery planning, will be part of your daily activities. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience. With 2+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Systems Engineering role, you should demonstrate a strong grasp of CI/CD tools and pipelines, hands-on experience with major cloud providers, proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Go, and familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Knowledge of networking, security best practices, and system architecture is also expected. Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes, experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux, familiarity with microservices architecture, and an understanding of Agile and DevSecOps practices are considered nice-to-have qualifications for this role.
