Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

GCP Cloud Engineer

with expertise in

infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, security, and operational support

within

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

. The ideal candidate will have

strong experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and cloud security best practices

.

Key Responsibilities:


Infrastructure Provisioning & Configuration:



  • Provision and configure

    GCP Virtual Machines (VMs)

    based on workload requirements.

  • Manage a variety of

    GCP services

    including

    BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, DataProc, and Cloud CDN

    .

  • Implement

    Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

    using

    Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager

    .

  • Monitor

    GCP dashboards, Cloud Logging

    , and perform

    Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

    to troubleshoot infrastructure issues.

  • Configure

    load balancing, auto-scaling, and monitoring

    for high availability.


Application Deployment & Management:



  • Deploy and manage applications on GCP, including

    web apps, mobile backends, and data pipelines

    .

  • Develop and maintain

    CI/CD pipelines

    using

    Jenkins, Cloud Build, or GitHub Actions

    .

  • Work with

    data processing services

    such as

    Dataflow, Dataproc, and Data Fusion

    .

  • Implement

    serverless computing

    using

    Cloud Functions

    .

  • Configure

    containerized applications

    with

    Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or Cloud Run

    .


Security & Access Control:



  • Implement and maintain

    Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies

    .

  • Apply

    security best practices

    , including

    vulnerability scanning, patch management, and encryption

    .

  • Configure

    security policies, access controls, and monitoring

    .

  • Ensure

    compliance with industry security standards

    .


Operational Support & Maintenance:



  • Provide ongoing

    troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance optimization

    .

  • Maintain detailed

    technical documentation

    .

  • Collaborate with teams to

    resolve issues related to GCP services

    .


Required Skills & Experience:



  • Proficiency in GCP services

    , including

    Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud CDN, VPC, and IAM

    .

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

    using

    Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager

    .

  • CI/CD pipeline expertise

    with

    Jenkins, Cloud Build, or GitHub Actions

    .

  • Hands-on experience

    with

    Docker and Kubernetes

    .

  • Proficiency in scripting languages

    (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

  • Strong

    networking knowledge

    and understanding of

    security best practices

    .

  • Excellent

    troubleshooting and communication skills

    .


Preferred Skills:



  • GCP certifications

    (e.g.,

    Google Associate Cloud Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Architect

    ).

  • Experience with serverless computing

    and

    event-driven architectures

    .

  • Knowledge of

    data engineering tools and technologies

    .
