Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Developer to design, build, and optimize data-driven customer engagement solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SFMC development, marketing automation, scripting, and Salesforce ecosystem integrations.

Experience Range

• 3–6 years of total professional experience
• 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud development experience
• Experience in at least two end-to-end SFMC implementations

Must-Have Skills

Salesforce Marketing Cloud

• Strong experience with Email Studio, Web Studio (CloudPages), Mobile Studio
• Hands-on development in Journey Builder and Automation Studio
• Experience creating multi-channel, personalized marketing campaigns

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in:
• AMPscript
• Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS)
• SQL
• HTML / CSS
• Strong experience with:
• Data Extensions
• SQL queries and segmentation logic
• Dynamic and personalized content development

Integration & APIs

• Experience integrating SFMC with:
• Salesforce Sales Cloud / Service Cloud
• External systems using REST and SOAP APIs

Data & Compliance

• Understanding of data modeling, customer lifecycle, and marketing automation concepts
• Knowledge of GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and data privacy best practices

Certifications (Mandatory)

• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certification

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to Einstein, MobilePush, or real-time personalization tools
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git)
• Experience working across multiple Business Units (BUs)
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
• Prior experience supporting production deployments and change management

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with marketing teams, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement SFMC solutions
• Design and develop personalized, scalable, multi-channel campaigns
• Build and maintain automations, journeys, and data flows
• Develop reusable, maintainable code using AMPscript, SSJS, and HTML/CSS
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in journeys, automations, and integrations
• Support deployments, QA, documentation, and code reviews
• Ensure data consistency across integrated systems and BUs
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
