Role Overview
The CRM Solution Architect is responsible for defining the end-to-end CRM architecture and solution design for large, enterprise CRM consulting and implementation programs. The role provides technical and functional leadership across assessment, evaluation, and implementation phases, ensuring the CRM solution is scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business strategy and enterprise architecture standards, particularly in regulated BFSI environments.
Key Responsibilities
CRM Architecture & Solution Design
Define the target-state CRM architecture aligned with business objectives, digital strategy, and regulatory requirements.
Design end-to-end CRM solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, leveraging out-of-the-box capabilities wherever possible.
Own the CRM solution blueprint covering functional design, data model, security model, integrations, and extensibility.
Ensure architectural consistency across sales, service, marketing, and customer engagement use cases.
Establish solution design standards, patterns, and best practices for the program.
Integration & Data Architecture
Design integration architecture between CRM and core banking systems, digital channels, data platforms, and third-party applications.
Define API, middleware, and event-based integration patterns aligned with enterprise and Azure architecture standards.
Provide architectural guidance for data migration, master data management, and Customer 360 enablement.
Ensure data security, privacy, encryption, and regulatory compliance across all integrations.
Platform & Technical Leadership
Provide architectural leadership to functional and technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Review and approve detailed functional and technical designs, configurations, and customizations.
Govern use of Power Platform components including Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
Ensure performance, scalability, availability, and resiliency of the CRM solution.
Vendor & Product Evaluation Support
Support CRM product and vendor evaluation through architecture assessments and solution due diligence.
Participate in vendor demos, POCs, and technical deep-dive sessions.
Evaluate solution fit against BFSI security, compliance, scalability, and extensibility requirements.
Contribute to solution recommendations and executive-level decision documentation.
Implementation Governance & Quality Assurance
Act as the design authority for the CRM program, ensuring alignment with approved architecture.
Review solution build, integrations, and data migration deliverables for architectural compliance.
Support testing strategy, non-functional testing, and production readiness reviews.
Guide go-live architecture, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization.
Stakeholder & Enterprise Architecture Alignment
Engage with enterprise architects, IT leadership, security, and compliance teams.
Translate business and regulatory requirements into robust technical solutions.
Support steering committees and architecture review boards with recommendations and risk assessments.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience
15+ years of experience in CRM consulting, architecture, and large-scale enterprise implementations.
Minimum 6-8 end-to-end CRM implementations in a Solution Architect or Lead Architect role.
Proven experience designing CRM solutions in BFSI or highly regulated enterprise environments.
Platform & Architecture Expertise
Deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, including:
Sales
Customer Service
Marketing / Customer Insights
Strong knowledge of Dataverse architecture, security model, role-based access, and environment strategy.
Extensive experience with Power Platform governance, ALM, and extensibility patterns.
Integration & Cloud Architecture
Strong expertise in CRM integrations using APIs, middleware, and Azure services.
Hands-on architectural experience with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions, API Management).
Understanding of event-driven and microservices-based integration patterns is preferred.
Data, Security & Compliance
Strong understanding of data migration strategies, data quality, and master data management.
Experience designing secure, compliant CRM solutions aligned with BFSI regulatory and data privacy requirements.
Familiarity with identity, access management, and audit frameworks is an advantage.
Certifications (Preferred)
MB-600: Microsoft Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect
PL-600: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
Azure architecture certifications are an added advantage.
Soft Skills & Consulting Competencies
Strong leadership and architectural decision-making capability.
Ability to communicate complex architectural concepts to business and technical stakeholders.
Excellent documentation, presentation, and executive communication skills.
Proven ability to lead distributed teams and drive architectural governance across large programs.
