Role Description

Role Proficiency:We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Mainframe Engineer

with 3–5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in mainframe technologies and a solid understanding of database and job control systems. Experience with modern integrations such as z/OS Connect and WebSphere MQ is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and support mainframe-based applications and systems.
Work with ISPF/PDF to navigate and manage datasets.
Write and optimize SQL queries for DB2 and manage VSAM datasets.
Develop and debug JCL scripts and manage job scheduling using OPCE.
Use SELCOPY / Syncsort for data manipulation and processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve system issues.
Contribute to performance tuning, system upgrades, and enhancements.

Technical Skills – Mandatory

Mainframe technologies

DB2 and SQL
VSAM data management
JCL / OPCE

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
4–5 years of relevant experience in a mainframe engineering role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
