Developer

As an AS400 Developer being sought to join the Group Asia technology team, your primary focus will be on AS400 development within Life Insurance systems, particularly Group or Asia-based products. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing, developing, testing, and deploying programs on the AS400 platform to support business needs and system enhancements. - Translate business requirements into technical specifications - Develop programs using RPG, CL, COBOL, and DB2/400 - Support Group Asia insurance product implementations - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time - Perform impact analysis and data migration - Offer technical support and resolve issues - Document developed programs and system changes - Ensure code quality and compliance with best practices As a qualified candidate, you are expected to have: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - At least 5 years of hands-on experience in AS400/iSeries development - Proficiency in RPG IV, RPGLE, CLLE, and DB2/400 - Good understanding of file structures, data management, and batch processing on AS400 - Experience with Group/Asia Insurance products, Agile methodology, and SDLC processes Preferred skills include: - Experience in integrating AS400 systems with web services or third-party tools - Knowledge of version control tools and DevOps for AS400 - Familiarity with the insurance domain, particularly Group or Bancassurance products (Note: No additional details about the company were present in the job description.),
