Job Description

As a Desktop Support Engineer at Swastik Infotech in Gandhidham, you will play a crucial role in providing on-site technical support to end users. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues for users, including operating systems, office applications, and other software. - Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other hardware devices. - Responding to service desk tickets to ensure timely resolution of technical issues. - Assisting with system setup, software installation, and deployment of new desktop equipment. - Maintaining and troubleshooting local area network (LAN), wireless network, and peripheral devices. - Collaborating with IT teams to implement updates, patches, and new software. - Documenting all issues, resolutions, and procedures in an organized manner. - Providing training and support to end users on software and hardware use. - Performing routine maintenance and updates on desktop systems to ensure security patches are up to date. - Supporting remote employees with desktop-related issues via phone or remote desktop tools. - Ensuring adherence to security protocols and policies in all support activities. Qualifications required for this role include: - Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/IT or BCA/B.Sc./M.Sc. in IT or CS. - Proven experience in desktop support or technical support roles. - In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS), office applications, and common business software. - Experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance (PCs, laptops, printers, etc.). - Strong knowledge of network connectivity, TCP/IP, and VPN configurations. - Familiarity with remote desktop tools and troubleshooting techniques. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
