Job Description

Role Overview:

Desktop Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices (Windows and/or macOS)
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to OS, applications, drivers, and connectivity
Respond to IT service requests and incidents in a timely and professional manner (on-site or via remote tools)

Installation & Configuration

Set up and configure new systems for employees, including OS installation, user profiles, software, and hardware
Assist with user onboarding and offboarding (email setup, access rights, device provisioning)
Manage and support mobile devices, VoIP phones, and endpoint security solutions

Collaboration

Work closely with network, systems, and service desk teams to resolve complex issues
Assist in IT infrastructure projects such as system upgrades, office moves, or software rollouts

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience with macOS or Linux environments
Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, or Freshservice
Knowledge of imaging tools (e.g., MDT, WDS, Acronis)
IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft MTA/MCSA, ITIL Foundation)
