Job title : IT Engineer / Desktop Engineer / System Administrator

Roles and Responsibilities

WINDOWS

• Server Administration: Monitor running Windows Server OS.
• Hyper-V Administration: Ensure Availability of Hyper-V VMs - Windows Server, Windows 10, SUSE Linux. Monitoring Replication Health.
• Active Directory Administration: Create and manage AD Users, Groups, and Policies.

LINUX (SLES and Ubuntu)

• Regular Monitoring and Management of Linux (SLES) server for backups and applications.

APPLICATIONS

• ERP: First level management of ERP
• HANA/SQL Database Administration
• Anti-Virus Administration
• Backup Administration Configuring and managing backups of all critical data applications, files, database, etc.
• Office365 Administration: Managing users of Office365 and Zoho Mail.

HARDWARE

• Installing and managing network hardware Firewall, Rack Servers, Switches, NAS, CCTV
• NVRs, Access Points, Biometric Devices.
• Managing user hardware Desktops, Laptops, thin-clients.
• Monitoring the health of Server RAIDs.
• Monitoring the health and recording of CCTV devices remotely.
• Configuring printers for smooth, trouble-free use.

PROCUREMENT

• Procuring the necessary hardware for the team servers, racks, hard drives, access points, switches, monitors, desktops, etc.

GENERAL

• Securely managing administrator credentials across devices and software.
• Automation of tasks using CMD / Terminal as per requirements.
• Troubleshooting and configuring broadband internet for remote locations.
• Perform additional duties as determined by business needs and as directed by management.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Must have strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in System administration and support in Installation, Administration, Configuration, Hardening, troubleshooting issues, Patching and upgradation of Windows and Linux VMs

Nice-to-have Skills (Big Plus)

• Good command line experience for day-to-day OS troubleshooting like space issues, memory utilization, performance issues, and boot issues.
• Knowledge of crond, systemd, journal ctl for debugging the OS, Application issues.
• Prior experience with HANA Database, SAP, Tally.

Education

Required:

• Minimum 60% or Equivalent Grade in a 4-year BE/B.Tech Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or MCA.
  
• Valid OS Certification such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or equivalent.
  
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

Preferred:

• B.E./B.Tech/ B.Sc IT or Diploma/BSC-IT.
