Desktop Support Engineer - L1

a. Troubleshooting desktop / laptop OS issues.
b. Support for standard software issues c. Isolate system issues; diagnose standard software issues and report hardware issues to respective Vendors. d. Installation / re-installation / configuration of systems, printers, scanners. e. Configure desktop and laptop as per the desktop/laptop standardization policies of company f. Installation / re-installation / configuration of in-scope client software / applications g. Installation / configuration of e-mail clients h. Troubleshooting e-mail client related issues i. Troubleshooting printer / scanner related issues j. Troubleshooting issues related to standard office software s (MS Office Word, Xls, PowerPoint etc.) and internet client k. Support for local area network issues (LAN), DHCP client l. Install antivirus software and check virus definition auto updates m. Install approved patches onto desktops / laptops. n. L1 Support for Meeting Room.o. Troubleshoot print queue related issues p. Configure appropriate rights and permissions for accessing printers q. Remove virus from respective desktop / laptop with the antivirus software.r. Educating users on the usage of the Service Desk System for call logging and


Education & Experience Recommended
Diploma or Graduation in IT (15 years of education is mandatory) Typically has 1-2 years of work experience in desktop support, preferably in HP products in Customer base, account management, computer customer support, on site customer support, Mission Critical, systems experience, or a related field.
