Job Title: Assistant Manager - NPD Location: Sonipat, Haryana Department: Operations Reporting To: Chief Production Officer Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology / Food Science / Food Engineering Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Product Development Manager with a strong background in snack foods, ideally with specific experience in popcorn, extruded snacks, and flavor technologies. This role is critical in driving innovation and supporting our brand's growth by leading the end-to-end development and commercialization of new snack products. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end development of new products including concept development, prototyping, trials, and commercialization. Work closely with cross-functional teams (QA, Production, Marketing, Procurement, and Supply Chain) to ensure successful product rollouts. Develop and optimize recipes for popcorn, extruded snacks, roasted snacks, and flavoured variants. Conduct shelf-life studies, sensory evaluations, and process validations. Source and evaluate new ingredients, flavours, seasonings, and packaging materials in collaboration with suppliers. Manage pilot trials and scale-up activities at the plant level. Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences to support innovation pipeline. Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for formulations, costing, specifications, and process SOPs. Support cost-reduction projects without compromising product quality. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology / Food Science / Food Engineering. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in new product development, ideally in the snacks or popcorn segment. Strong knowledge of food processing equipment, extrusion, coating, and flavour application technologies. Experience working with flavour houses, ingredient suppliers, and co-packers. Familiarity with regulatory standards and food safety compliance.
