Designated Person Ashore - Company Security Officer

Reports to: DPA/CSO coordinator

Responsibilities and duties:

You have directaccess to Top management.

You shall:

• Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations;
• Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental, cybersecurity and ethics policies;
• Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis.

1- With company

You shall:

• Keep the ISM certification of the Company up-to-date for each assigned flag;
• Plan, implement and follow-up internal audits for:
• Head-office;
• Subsidiaries;
• Agencies.
• Analyze the reports issued on dedicated software;
• Participate in the Emergency Response Team as per Group organization;
• Monitor KPIs for your vessels;
• Ensure trainings of shore and ship staff;
• Manage your team.

Note: DPA/ CSO organization is independent from other departments.

2- With vessels

You are the direct contact of the master. You shall:

• Supervise implementation and application of ISM, MLC, ISPS and ISO certification;
• Plan ISM, MLC, ISPS and ISO internal audit;
• Plan ISM, MLC and ISPS external audits;
• Supervise the implementation of the Ship Security Plan;
• Analyze the vessels’ reports on dedicated software;
• Check the effective implementation of the corrective and preventive actions.

Minimum qualifications

• Health, Safety and environment culture;
• Internal auditor training;
• DPA/CSO training.

Experience

Previous experience as Marine Safety Officer. Maritime background is preferred.
