Design Manager

As a Design Manager at a company in the Plastic Industry located in Pune, Chakan, your role involves various key responsibilities and qualifications. **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for analyzing customer requirements in collaboration with the Sales Team and National Sales Manager (NSM) to recommend suitable products. Additionally, you will lead the design and development of new products, provide CCS layouts, coordinate production activities, select components, and make critical decisions related to BOQ approval, drawing approval, modification approval, and layout approval. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with the Sales Team and NSM to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products - Develop solutions and detailed drawings for new modifications and customizations - Lead the design and development of new products as per customer-specific requirements - Provide CCS layouts and calculate hardware BOQ for projects - Ensure proper drawing release to the Production Planning & Control department - Work with the Purchase Team to select new components required for product developments - Review and approve BOQ, drawings, modifications, and layouts **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field - 10 to 12 years of experience in product design, development, and engineering, preferably in the plastic industry - Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and component selection - Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities - Ability to lead a design team and coordinate with cross-functional departments In this role, your proficiency in CAD software, extensive experience in product design and development, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and excellent communication skills will be crucial for success.,
