Design & Integration Head

Responsibilities

• Lead the design team to develop state of the art defence products and implement innovative design solutions.
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration with various design verticals, resource management to prepare design strategies beneficial for the organization.
• Coordinate with technology partners for design concurrence and approvals.
• Conduct regular design reviews and assessments to identify and mitigate risks that can affect the programme.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
• Contribute towards the prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing in order to validate the design.
• Streamline design processes, SOP’s, formulation of design procedures at Design centre.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices relevant to defence industry.
• Enhancement of technical capabilities of design centre in order to undertake greater challenges in product design and development.
• Preparation of a roadmap to make the Design Centre a centre of excellence at par with international benchmark.
• Advocating for user-centric design principles and best practices within the organization.
  

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

• Must Have: BE / B. Tech – Mechanical / Electronics / Mechatronics (Top 50 in NIRF) and Master’s Degree in any design oriented domain
  

Experiences

• Minimum 15-18 years’ experience in core design domain
• Proven experience in product design and development
• Design Team Lead for a minimum duration of 6-7 years in a reputed organization.
• Experience in system integration of mechanical / electrical/ electronic / hydraulic systems.
• Excellent leadership and analytical skills.
  

Desirable

• Design experience in defence industry particularly for land-based artillery systems, underwater vessels and airborne UAV’s / Missiles.
• Understanding of requirements of modern-day warfare, C4I etc.
• Excellent communication & Interpersonal Skills.
