Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Design Head to lead our cleanroom design function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end cleanroom design activities, ensuring compliance with international standards, optimizing layouts and systems, and leading a multidisciplinary design team to deliver high-quality projects across pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor, healthcare, and related industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete cleanroom design process from concept to execution
• Develop cleanroom layouts, HVAC concepts, airflow models, and contamination control strategies
• Ensure compliance with global standards such as ISO 14644, GMP, US FDA, EU GMP, and WHO guidelines
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, sales, and installation teams
• Review and approve design drawings, BOQs, technical submittals, and specifications
• Mentor and manage a team of designers and engineers
• Interface with clients to understand requirements and provide technical solutions
• Drive innovation, standardization, and continuous improvement in design practices
• Support business development by providing technical inputs for proposals and tenders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 5-8 years of experience in cleanroom design and execution
• Proven leadership experience managing design teams
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, airflow principles, pressure regimes, and filtration systems
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
• Strong understanding of regulatory and validation requirements
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor, or medical device cleanrooms
• Exposure to turnkey cleanroom projects
• Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable cleanroom design practices
