Position: Design Engineer – NPD / Sheet Metal Design Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer with deep expertise in sheet metal design and new product development (NPD). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with product conceptualization, reverse engineering, and design for manufacturability. A strong understanding of fabrication processes, tooling, and prototyping is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, contribute, execute & support to innovative concept design and development of sheet metal parts with focus on manufacturability & cost-efficiency.
• Create CAD models & generate manufacturing-ready drawings for sheet metal components & assembly
• Apply advanced knowledge of bending, forming, welding, and assembly drawings while applying GD&T related standards.
• Engage in reverse engineering activities to improve or redesign existing products.
• Use CAD tools proficiently: Solid Edge / SolidWorks, FEA etc
• Provide inputs for tool & die design, jigs & fixture design while collaborating with tool rooms and manufacturing teams.

Required Skills & Attributes

• Strong hands-on experience in sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.
• Field exposure to manufacturing processes like Laser Cutting, Punching, Bending, Welding etc.
• Preferably, background in tool design, die making, and manufacturing domain.
• Proactive, innovative thinker with a solution-driven mindset who is a team player & self-starter who thrives in collaborative environments.
• Practical knowledge of prototyping, testing, and shop floor operations.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
