Responsibilities :

Designing and Drafting: Utilizing computer-aided design software SOLIDWORKS AND AUTOCAD to create detailed designs, technical drawings, and blueprints for mechanical devices, equipment, or components. This often involves considering factors like materials, manufacturing processes, and cost efficiency.

Product Development: Leading or contributing to the development of new products or improvements to existing products, ensuring that designs meet specified requirements, such as functionality, performance, and safety standards.

Prototyping and Testing: Collaborating with prototype technicians and other engineers to build and test prototypes of designed components or products, evaluating their performance and making necessary adjustments to enhance functionality and efficiency.

Material Selection and Analysis: Analyzing materials to determine the most suitable choices for specific applications, taking into account factors such as durability, cost-effectiveness, and performance under various conditions.

Collaboration with Teams: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and research and development, to ensure that designs can be feasibly produced, meet quality standards, and adhere to project timelines.

Problem-solving and Troubleshooting: Identifying and addressing technical issues or challenges that arise during the design and development process, employing analytical and problem-solving skills to find effective solutions.

Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring that designs adhere to industry standards and regulations, including safety and environmental regulations, to guarantee that products meet legal requirements and are safe for public use.

Documentation and Reporting: Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and project progress reports, to keep stakeholders informed and to provide a record of the design and development process.

Continuous Learning: Staying updated with the latest advancements in the field of mechanical engineering, including new technologies, tools, and methodologies, and integrating this knowledge into the design and development process.
