Design Engineer (Highway)

We are seeking a skilled Highway Design Engineer with expertise in MX Road software to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in transportation engineering and hands-on experience in highway alignment design, geometric design, and pavement design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Highway Alignment Design: Develop, analyze, and optimize highway alignments using MX Road and other design software.
• Geometric Design: Perform geometric design of roads and highways, ensuring compliance with national and international standards (IRC, AASHTO, etc.).
• Pavement Design: Design flexible and rigid pavements based on project requirements.
• 3D Road Modelling: Create detailed 3D models for road networks, including cross-sections and profile generation.
• Drainage & Utility Planning: Integrate stormwater drainage, roadside elements, and utility layouts into highway designs.
• Quantity Estimation & BOQ Preparation: Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and construction drawings.
• Coordination & Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, geotechnical, and traffic engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure designs comply with IRC, MoRTH, AASHTO, and other relevant guidelines and maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Site Visits & Surveys: Conduct field visits to verify design feasibility and resolve on-site technical issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• M.Tech in Transportation Engineering (preferred) or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in MX Road Software (mandatory) and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads, InfraWorks is a plus.
• Strong understanding of highway planning, design principles, and construction methodologies.
• Familiarity with IRC, MoRTH, NHAI, and AASHTO design standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills for client interactions and report writing.

Preferred Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in highway/roadway design.
• Experience in designing national highways, expressways, and urban road networks.
• Exposure to Detailed Design Projects.
